The Story
The Alexander the Great Ceremonial Sword is based on the ancient Greek Xiphos and features a broad blade designed for slashing that was commonly seen on swords of this period.
The hilt is heavily adorned with features such as lion’s head quillons and a Medusa’s head relief at the centre of the guard. The pommel is also decorated with reliefs of charioteers and hoplites in gold and sits above leather wrapped grip. The blade is crafted from stainless steel and features a deep fuller running along its centre. This sword has a blunt blade and is designed for display only.
